About project





Project will develop children's creativity and imagination and learn various art techniques, music and math. The project lasts for one school year (10 tasks = 10 months).


Work process:

1. Children will make a short Power Point presentation of the classes/groups, their schools and trees on the school's grounds (Google doc, one common presentation made by Polish and Slovak kids)

2. Kids will create a logo of the project and choose the best one by online voting (Tux Paint or Sumopaint and KwikSurveys).

3. "Autumn in the forest" a workshop. Kids will work in groups, on a sheet of A1. Teachers will organize a common online gallery of this art works (Cincopa).

4. "Autumn trees" - a photo competition. Children will make photos of autumn trees and select the best photographs by online voting (Google Forms). Get a diploma.




5. Children will learn and sing "Jarzębinowa piosenka" and "Letia letia babie leta" songs during a videoconference. 

6. "If Trees Could Talk" - Children will write short stories or poems in their national languages. The best works will be translated into English, children from the partner's school draw pictures in Sketch & Paint.






7. International Day of Forests (21th of March) - a computer graphics contest "Save the forest". Children will draw a poster in Paint, they will select the best PAINTings by online voting (KwikSurveys).



8. A forest mathematics - children will solve tasks, they also will create own tasks for their partners. 

9. Children will observe the forest environment (a trip or organizing "hare and hounds game" - a racing game played outdoors). Students are supposed to shoot a movie and take photos on this tour. Teachers will create one, common film contains creations of children (Photo Story). 




10. Children will make an evaluation in Popplet.

During the school year children will be learned about the forest by browsing the materials in our project's library.


Expected results:

Increase children's knowledge about the forest through the study and observation of the forest environment. Develop their skills in using ICT. Enrich kids knowledge and language skills.
